I watch the O'Reilly Factor all the time. I am an O'Reilly fan. But this article shows me that Bill does not have a handle on basic economics.
A basic rule of economics is that "Everyone acts in his own best self-interest, as he understands what his self-interests are."
It is my car, my gasoline, and my trips, and my decision every step of the way, every day. I will cut down on my trips, my miles driven, and my use of my car when it serves my own insterests. I would buy some gasoline at $10.00 per gallon. No man, no group, and no group can for very long overide the Law of Supply and Demand.
There are reasons why gasoline is not $1.00 per gallon. There are reasons why gasoline is not $100.00 per gallon. Everything regarding gasoline prices is related to supply and demand in the market place. I should never complain about the price of gasoline as long as I am buying it. When it becomes in my best self-interest to stop buying gasoline, I will stop buying it. So, let us not continue to talk silliness about the price of gasoline. I need gasoline, and will continue to buy some of it, until I don't need any more of it.
